Get your Body Back after pregnancy. Author of the book, Heather Porter gives an inside scoop of getting your body back to the way it was prior to having children. Her pro tips and tricks to being a mother and having a body in excellent shape not only get you on the track to looking good but feeling good.

While getting into shape and undergoing the transformation here are tips to conquer amazing looks in apparel that creates a great figure. With the expertise of Heather Porter’s Body Back and these fashion tips you’re going to feel great.

Apparel can play tricks on the eyes – it can create length for shorter builds, a smaller waist, and can be quite slimming if worn right. We all know that black creates a smaller silhouette but if apparel is tailored and structured correctly it can create a shape you never thought you had.

Heather discusses in her book Body Back, ‘‘While today’s supermodels can boast waists that average no more than 24 inches, most of us are a little larger! The waists of Hollywood’s goddesses were envied by all. Judy Garland had a waist measurement of approximately 22 inches when she made The Wizard of Oz but that was before she had children. Marilyn Monroe’s waist was 22 inches according to her dressmaker, but sceptics suggest it was nearer 25.’

A structured and tailored blazer can create a slimmer waist or perhaps give a waist. A blazer is something that is easy to throw on over a solid tee and cigarette pants. You don’t have to wear skinny jeans to pull off this look. It is completely feminine and with the weather cooling off the blazer is an easy go-to to throw on over staple pieces in your wardrobe. Because we all know that kids wants and needs come first try budget friendly stores with sophisticated structure through out their collections – J Crew, White House Black Market, The Limited, and BCBG Max Azria. While getting back into shape use apparel as your go-to for feeling good during the process of reaching your goal of pre-baby body.

Opt for nude shoes to lengthen the legs when wearing dresses or pencil skirts. If your blazer is a bit loose go for a wide belt to create a waistline by belting your apparel on top of your blazer right at the waist.

‘I know from experience that it is not easy. Far too often we set impossible goals for ourselves and then feel low when we fail. My aim is to guide you back into the body, mind and soul you loved before you had children, in a way that makes sense and is manageable. Start small to change the bigger picture and, as you do so, you will feel happier, healthier and more beautiful,’ says Heather Porter.
